While the Motorola DROID gets most of the attention at this time, and it has a higher price, the HTC DROID ERIS is not to become dismissed, since it provides a lot, including HTC’s Sense UI, which adds a user-friendly layer above the stock Android 1.5 interface. Not only did Verizon introduce the Motorola DROID earlier this month, but also the HTC DROID ERIS, as both of them are the first two Android-based devices for that wireless provider People, the HTC DROID ERIS is really a close cousin to the HTC Hero on Sprint, as both have little similar hardware.

The HTC DROID ERIS retains the same 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen with 320×480 resolution that is available on Sprint’s HTC Hero, but color support has been increased from 65K to 262K. The sensors above it will likewise automatically adjust the backlight in line with the surrounding light level, and turn the display off when it’s alongside your face during a call. When comparing the display found on the HTC DROID ERIS next to the Motorola DROID, the main difference is significant. Not just may be the display on the Motorola DROID larger (3.7”) and better resolution (480×854), but it also supports 16M colors. Because of this, you can clearly see the differences together, as images on the Motorola DROID look truer alive and therefore are clearer without any pixelation.

MOTOROLA Droid Eris Review (PhoneArena@youtube)

On the top there is a 3.5mm headset jack, using the 5MP camera on the back, and miniUSB port at the base. Comes with microSDHC card slot at the back of the battery, 8GB card preinstalled, but supports cards up to 16GB in size. The HTC DROID ERIS became popular as the second Android phone for Verizon wireless carrier, although it got launched at the same time. Straight as they are, it’s equipped with version 1.5 of the operating-system, but also has the social-centric Sense UI on top. It sports all the hardware features you might expect, including a 3.2-inch screen, 528MHz processor and 288 MB RAM.

HTC Droid Eris the design.

Contained in the retail box is the HTC DROID ERIS phone with a preinstalled 8GB microSDHC memory card, 1300 mAh battery , wall charger with detachable miniUSB cable, and user guide. The HTC Droid eeris htc droid eris battery life reported by the user as normal battery lifespan. The DROID ERIS has plenty of soft curves and it is covered top to bottom having a black soft-touch coating over plastic construction, in contrast to the defined corners and metal construction utilized by the Motorola DROID. Because of these differences, the HTC DROID ERIS feels less “square” when holding it and never as heavy as the Motorola DROID.

Decrease fallen calls, improve 3G data rates in weak sign areas as well as originate calls from dreaded “dead spots” using the Sleek Cell Phone Signal Cradle Enhancer from Wilson Consumer electronics. The Smooth and its exterior vehicle antenna improve any kind of mobile phone’s result capacity to the cellular site whilst enhancing being able to listen to signals it usually can’t, maintaining a person much more dependably connected. It stretches the actual calling range and signal power of any phone upon any kind of United states cell service provider’s system (other than Nextel/iDEN).

Built into the actual Sleek cradle is really a Wilson bi-directional sign amplifier as well as electric battery charging port. The cradle is ideal for hands free procedure along with your head set or even Wireless bluetooth gadget. Created for easy setup, the Sleek can be easily moved through vehicle in order to automobile.

How The Smooth Works
The actual roof-mounted aerial receives the actual mobile phone’s signal in the cellular tower and transmits it to the Smooth cradle via cable. The actual signal is then increased through the Sleek’s built-in amp and then transmitted towards the cell phone by its built-in aerial. The process is then repeated in reverse to transmit the increased mobile phone sign back to the cellular tower. The actual Smooth operates on both the Eight hundred Megahertz (mobile) as well as 1900 MHz (PCS) frequency bands, as well as fulfills just about all FCC as well as Business Canada technical specs.

The update to Android 2.2 will bring with it a few welcome functions including support for Flash 10.2. The general system operation and the internet browser performance have also been enhanced significantly.Samsung and Verizon have also taken this opportunity to heap more bloat ware on the handset, in the form of V Cast Apps and the Samsung Media Hub. The update also aims at fixing numerous bugs.
Samsung has recently started rolling out the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the Galaxy S in European countries. Whereas, it is still unconfirmed whether the Galaxy S handsets in the us could possibly get the Gingerbread or not.

The Samsung Fascinate display is just awesome even in sunlight. But camera is an app, not a separate button it takes time to familiarize with it. I wish it had Adobe Flash for videos but is stil a NO yet for Samsung Fascinate. The phone have sexy looks and feels easier to hold. TouchWiz makes OS more user friendly. But the downside is it doesnt have Google default search and comes with glossy finish which gets slippery sweaty. The price for verizon wireless is $29.99 depend on service type.
