It would be the best androidphone for these days but battery is awfull, device can keep alive just for a day. There’s no front camera, but the 8MP is quite impressive and sound quality is fabulous for music and great for calls .The HTC Desire HD A9191 is wonderful, except, there is no button on the front as in other models. The HTC Desire HD A9191 came with non-stock 8GH SD-card. Poor design for SIM card slot – the SIM causes a gap on the bottom cover.

As soon as Motorola Droid X phone touches it, it recognizes that it’s in a multimedia station and switched to a clock. From there you can set it up as a digital picture frame or hook it to your TV. The bad thing is, it that it is VERY difficult to get the Droid X into the dock. BAD! It’s also not so easy to take out the Droid X dock, when the phone rings, I can pick it up and put it on speaker phone, but the person on the other line will have a hard time hearing , But overal the other features enough to make it worth to buy.

First and foremost, the dock is made for Droids without a case. If you have a case, then you need to remove the back of the case in order for it to fit. Secondly, when I first mounted the Droid, it wasn’t loading my weather widget. Fortunately, there was a work around for this. Otherwise, the interface is really easy to use and it’s a good product for charging your phone and giving it a little bit of sophistication. The dim light setting is really handy for those who can’t sleep with bright lights on. Or you can just turn off the screen entirely.

This soup-to-nuts collection of recipes covers everything you need to know to perform your job as a Linux network administrator, whether you’re new to the job or have years of experience. With Linux Networking Cookbook, you’ll dive straight into the gnarly hands-on work of building and maintaining a computer network.

Running a network doesn’t mean you have all the answers

. Networking is a complex subject with reams of reference material that’s difficult to keep straight, much less remember. If you want a book that lays out the steps for specific tasks, that clearly explains the commands and configurations, and does not tax your patience with endless ramblings and meanderings into theory and obscure RFCs, this is the book for you.

You will find recipes for:

    * Building a gateway, firewall, and wireless access point on a Linux network
* Building a VoIP server with Asterisk
* Secure remote administration with SSH
* Building secure VPNs with OpenVPN, and a Linux PPTP VPN server
* Single sign-on with Samba for mixed Linux/Windows LANs
* Centralized network directory with OpenLDAP
* Network monitoring with Nagios or MRTG
* Getting acquainted with IPv6
* Setting up hands-free networks installations of new systems
* Linux system administration via serial console

And a lot more. Each recipe includes a clear, hands-on solution with tested code, plus a discussion on why it works. When you need to solve a network problem without delay, and don’t have the time or patience to comb through reference books or the Web for answers, Linux Networking Cookbook gives you exactly what you need.

About the Author
Carla Schroder is a self-taught Linux and Windows sysadmin, who laid hands on her first computer around her 37th birthday. Her first PC was a Macintosh LC II. Next came an IBM-clone, a 386sx running MS-DOS 5 and Windows 3.1, with a 14″ color display, which was adequate for many pleasant hours of DOOM play. Then around 1997 she discovered Red Hat 5.0, and had a whole new world to explore.

Somewhere along the way she found herself doing freelance consulting for small businesses and home users, supporting both Linux and Windows users, and integrating Linux and Windows on the LAN; primarily Linux servers and Windows clients. She is the author of the Linux Cookbook for O’Reilly, and writes Linux howtos for several computer publications.

Carla is living proof that you’re never too old to try something new, computers are a heck of a lot of fun, and anyone can learn to do anything. Visit tuxcomputing.com for more Carla stuff.

Before you buy a new/used laptop, netbook, notebook my suggestion is to answer few most important questions below. I got that from this thread . It contain all “Guide to buy a laptop” . Once you get all the answer you can narrow down the choice and choose the best suit your own need.

General Questions

1) What is your budget?

2) What size notebook would you prefer?

    a. Netbook; 10” screen or less
b. Ultraportable; 11″ – 12” screen
c. Thin and Light; 13″ – 14″ screen
d. Mainstream; 15″ – 16″ screen
e. Desktop Replacement; 17″+ screen

3) Where will you buying this notebook? You can select the flag of your country as an indicator.

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don’t like?

    a. Like:
b. Dislike:

5) Would you consider laptops that are refurbished/redistrubited?

6) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?

7) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places, leaving it on your desk or both?

Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games or types of games?

9) How many hours of battery life do you need?

10) Would you prefer to see the notebooks you’re considering before purchasing it or buying a notebook on-line without seeing it is OK?

11) What OS do you prefer? Windows (XP or Vista), Mac OS, Linux, etc.

Screen Specifics

12) From the choices below, what screen resolutions would you prefer?

    a. WXGA – 1280×800 or occasionally 1280×768; For people who like big text and icons that are easy to read. Less stuff fits on the screen, which translates into more scrolling.
b. WXGA+ – 1440×900; A modest bump over WXGA. Text and icons are a bit smaller. A little more stuff fits on the screen.
c. WSXGA+ – 1680×1050; The middle ground. Again, text and icons are smaller than WXGA+, and more stuff fits onto the screen. Good for having applications open side by side, like a web browser while playing a video.
d. WUXGA – 1920×1200; Very small text and icons, that can be hard to read. Lots of stuff fits on the screen, which means less scrolling. Good for applications that require a high level of detail like CAD or Photo Editing.

13) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen?

Build Quality and Design

14) Are the notebook’s looks and stylishness important to you?

15) When are you buying this laptop and how long do you want this laptop to last?

Notebook Components

16) How much hard drive space do you need; 80GB to 500GB? Do you want a SSD drive?

17) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a CDRW/DVD-ROM, DVD Burner or Blu-Ray drive?

Few additional informations

Refurbished:
Laptops that may or may not have been powered on.
Laptops that may or may not have the security seal of the box broken.
Laptops that may or may not have been used.
Laptops that may or may not have minimal cosmetic “scratches”.

Redistributed:
Laptops that where ordered and never delivered.
Laptops that where place on order but never shipped.
Laptops that where ordered but then canceled and never shipped.
Laptop is new and sealed in box.
Laptop has never been turned on.
Security seal is not broken.
Laptop is in mint condition.

Scratch & Dent:
Laptop has been turned on.
Laptop has been used before.
Security seal is broken.
Laptop may have noticeable cosmetic dents.
Laptop was fully restored to manufacturing state.

My suggestion is watch live laptop review on youtube or on cnet so you can see the problem and the advantages of certain laptop.

Is there any accessory that we can use to boost wifi router signal?

The cheapest homemade wifi booster alternative is the DIY Wifi Antenna. It would be better if you can afford to buy a Linksys wireless-N network adapter. Model no. WUSB300N. My friend has a weak wifi signal too and it works well for him.
